Case of the month
Dr.
Dhiraj Nanda,MD (Hom)
An eleven year old girl
was brought to me with following complaints:
1. Involuntary
movements of different parts of body : 45 - 50 days.
2.
Sleeplessness : 3-4 years.
3. Behaviour –
does not study / obey.
Past History
- Fall - injury to head –
August 1998
- Vomiting 10-12 after the
fall admitted in hospital given some treatment.
- Vomiting again after 2
months.
- May 2002 hearing loss
in (L) ear mild using hearing-aid , < (R) ear.
- August 2003 –
involuntary movements shoulder (L) to (R).
Physical Generals
- Night / Sleep agg.,
- Hot (Thermal) can
tolerate cold better than heat, desires fan, likes
winters.

Always needs loose
clothing (wearing very loose T-shirt with low neck)
Mind
- Suspicious, Jealous,
Destructive
- Non-diligent (Has to be
told repeatedly to study, does not do any duty given to
her ),
- Conscientious
(understands very well what her morals – what is right
and what is wrong since beginning, before injury)

Fear of being
injured, takes time to interact, and chooses her
clothes.

Watches SAAS – BAHU
Serials with greatest interest.
Mind before injury
- Used to study
her own, conscientious, used play with other children,
timid.
Analysis
If we see patient is
presenting a pattern of change of miasm after the
injury.

From Psora she has
gone Syco-syphilitic miasmatic condition.

The childhood
innocence and timidity has been replaced by jealously,
ostentation (clothes – fashion – deep neck).
Remedy of choice should be
- polycrest,
- deep acting,
- match the
disposition of the child, and
- cover
miasmatic aspect.
Remedy
and Result
After a careful analysis,
the patient was prescribed Lachesis 30. After Lachesis
30, the patient not only improved in her complains but
also in her behavior. Gradually, she got rid of her
complaints and her behavior was like a normal 12 -13
year old girl. |
