Chronic Atopic dermatitis
Dr. Dhiraj Nanda
A 14 years old girl, daughter of an army
officer contacted me for her chronic skin trouble on
22/07/2005.
Presenting complaints:
Eruptions on the skin of back, arms head
and thighs from last 7-8 years. Itching is more during
nights.
Treatment history:
Complaints have diagnosed to be allergic
in nature. Treatment taken at various stations (as
father of the patient has a transferable job) used to
just gave temporary relief. In fact the complaints have
increased over the years, both in terms of area affected
and intensity of symptoms.
She was given steroids by allopathic
school and after that has been on homoeopathy for last 2
years but the treatment has done not much good to her.
Past History:
Patient had pneumonia when she was one
year old.
Physical Generals:
Appetite –Normal/
sometimes feels hungrier
Thirst - Thirstless
Bowls -N
Urine -N
Sleep -N
Dreams – rare. Frifgtful
(“Most of the dreams are horror show” – patient)
Desire - Chicken
Aversion - Daal,
vegetables, spicy
Thermals – Not clear
Mind:
Anger - Shouts when angry,
violent behavior, may hurt her ownself in anger.
Fear- Going in dark, stage
fear, shy
When asked to describe her
nature patient’s parent reported following:
“She is class monitor. She
has leadership qualities and is dominating by nature.
She is very affectionate but very unpredictable. She can
be very-very harsh at times. She is has a rebellious way
of doing thing specially to help the people who do
cannot fight for themselves.”

Repertorial Analysis:

Remedies Given:
Sepia 200/ one dose as indicated
antidotal remedy. The patient was improving after Sepia
till almost about two months. After that 28/09/2005
there was increase in her complaints. This time
constitutional remedy was prescribed - Causticum 30 /
dose. |
