CORRELATION BETWEEN SOCIETY, ECONOMICS, CULTURE
& DISEASE
In
the process of development and modernization the society
of any country under goes change from being agro-based
society to industry based society to ultra-modern
techno-society.
Agro-based society, economics and diseases
During the initial years of the agro-based society,
agriculture was the main occupation of the society.
Their life-style was regulated by the movements of Sun
and Moon. People used to work during the day, when sun
is present and sleep during the dark night when Sun is
on the other side of the globe. Most of people lived a
simple, peaceful life without harming others or the
society. They worked hard manually and physically trying
to make both ends meet. Many faced nutritional
deficiencies due to deficiency of availability of food.
There is not much to save.
Economics
During this phase, most of the people, as written above,
never had enough to save. Majority of population was
employed in occupations that required lot manual labor
and were a part of low income and low spending group. In
the terms of miasms, this is psoric behavior. If
anything extra was available, it was kept safe for
future needs.
Diseases and population
In
such agro-based society one finds simple diseases such
as eczemas, health problems due to nutritional
deficiencies, simple inflammatory conditions and
infectious diseases. Like the people of agro-based
society who are simple and straight forward (what is
their mind is manifested on their lips and in their
actions) the diseases that affected people of this
society are also simple. There is very less incidence of
hidden diseases like hypertension, tumors, diabetes
where externally the patient appears healthy.
This
was era of high birth rate and high death rate
(including high death rate during infancy, pregnancy and
child-birth, and old age.)
With regard to India
– India was into this kind of society till late 1940s or
early 1950s. Movies and music are reflection of the
society and times. Even songs were simple and
straight-forward For example, ‘….mere piya gaye Rangoon,
whaan se kiya telephoon….’ (….my husband went to
Rangoon; from there he called on telephone….’. In this
song, the lady is expressing her emotions in a simple
straight-forward poetic expression. There was simplicity
in people, culture and diseases. Majority of the
diseases that affected India till late 1940s or early
1950s, were simple inflammatory conditions and
infectious diseases, and nutritional deficiencies.
Industry based society, economics and diseases
Slowly with discovery of coal power & electricity and
related inventions the development starts from
agro-based society to industrialization. With invention
and availability of artificial light, the life-style
that was regulated by the movements of Sun and Moon,
slowly gave way to increase in working hours or other
wakeful activities. Simple life started becoming
complicated. The amount of manual and physical hard work
done by people in agro-based society was now being done
by machines. Productions in different fields increased.
Slowly deficient resource society of agro-based era was
replaced by society with excess. In such society one
finds so-called ‘diseases of prosperity’ such as
obesity, health problems due to over-eating started
appearing. People in this society wanted more and more.
Deceit, sly, greed and ambition appeared at the behavior
level, which are not manifested externally.
Economics
Increase production was the main mantra of this phase.
With inventions and industrialization the productivity
increased and consumerism came in. People started
saving excess resources for safe future. Desire for
amusement and enjoyments were high, but after securing
for a safe future. Gradually, this behavior changed to
‘enjoy now, pay later.’ In the terms of miasms, this is
sycotic behavior.
Diseases and population
In
such society had increased in the incidence of hidden
diseases like hypertension, tumors, diabetes where the
patients appears healthy externally.
With
new inventions in the field of medicines and increased
production of food grains, death rate from simple
inflammatory conditions and infectious diseases, and
nutritional deficiencies started falling though birth
rate remained high.
With regard to India
– India was into this kind of society till late 1980s
and early 1990s. As already said earlier movies and
music are reflection of the society and times. The songs
in this period were experimentally ostentatious with an
element of exaggeration. The best romantic songs of
Indian films were from this period. For example, ‘…...aaj
kal paon jamin par nahin parte mere….’ (‘….nowadays my
feet do not touch ground….’. In this song, the words
convey an expression of pleasure. The simplicity in
people, culture and diseases started disappearing.
People started looking after pleasures of life. People
started indulging in comfort and luxuries. The comfort
items become available to people of the society.
The
scenario at the diseases level started changing from
simple inflammatory conditions and infectious diseases,
and nutritional deficiencies to hidden diseases like
high blood pressure, diabetes, internal tumors and other
growths. Here, the patient externally appeared healthy
whereas internally he was not so.
Technology based society, economics and diseases
With
technological advancement industries started changing at
speed faster than ever. There was a rapid improvement
and change in technology. What was latest yesterday
becomes outdated today. World starts shrinking to what
is called as ‘Global village’. Life-style changed
drastically and terms like city never sleeps came in
use. Certain groups in society had life-style exactly
opposite to that of natural law. They were sleeping
during the days and working during the nights. Natural
rhythms of life-style started disappearing. Complicated
life started becoming complex. What seemed impossible
earlier was achieved by some people in this society as
they gained everything possible. Some other people in
this society wanted everything and immediately. Deceit,
sly, greed and even crime and death were considered as a
means to achieve the end. In such society one finds
so-called ‘diseases of destruction such as cancers,
organ-failures, improper development started appearing
more and more.
Economics
Kill
the competition was the main mantra of this phase. It
was achieved by introduction of new superior models of
the product than competitors at faster rate than
competition and by ‘Mergers & acquisitions’. The
thinking of people changed from saving excess resources
to enjoy whether you have resources or not. In the terms
of miasms, this is syphilitic behavior.
Diseases and Population
Majority of the diseases that affect such society are
destructive diseases such as cancers, insulin-dependent
diabetes, birth-defects and other organ failures.
With regard to India
– India went into this kind of society after late 1980s
and early 1990s. As already said earlier movies and
music are reflection of the society and times. Some
songs in this period were had element of destruction.
For example, ‘…...Laila, Laila chillayoon kurta phaadke….’
(‘….I shout Laila, Laila tearing my shirt….’. In this
song, the words convey an expression of destruction by
tearing shirt. Another song from this era conveys the
destructiveness is ‘….Goli maro bheje mein, bheja shor
karta hai….’ (….shoot bullet into the brain, brain makes
noise…’).
Music
video of Rock DJ (uncensored) by Robbie Williams is
classic example of Syphilitic music video.
The
destructiveness of society manifested as terror and mass
panic reactions at the level of mind and destructive
diseases at the level of diseases. Majority of the
diseases that affected India after late 1980s and early
1990s are destructive diseases such as cancers,
insulin-dependent diabetes, birth-defects and other
organ failures. |
