HOMOEOPATHY FOR RADIATION EXPOSURE

Homeopathy has some
medicine that can be helpful in removing the
after-effects of radiation exposure. Some of these are
discussed below:
Alovera:
Homoeopathic medicine prepared from alovera has been
found useful in burns after exposure to radiation.
Cadmium sulphuratum:
It is a good remedy for bad effects of radiation and
chemotherapy. It is helpful in weakness, emaciation,
nausea, vomiting, liver damage, hair loss, anorexia
after exposure to radiation. There is extreme exhaustion
and prostration with vomiting. Black vomit is very
characteristic. The least thing touching the lips will
excite vomiting. Pitchy taste, food tastes like salt.
Calcarea flourata:
It is useful for burns due to radiation x-rays.
Exposures to radiation cause veins to dilate and become
varicosed and inflamed. Discharges are like grass green.
There is generalized stiffness, Weakness in the morning.
Patient will experience a feeling of fatigue all day.
There may be numbness in different parts. Nails are
hypertrophied.
Radium bromatum:
Very effective for burns after radiation an x-ray. Burns
are obstinate which takes long time to heal. There are
necrotic changes with profound weakness, low blood
pressure, with a peculiar sensation as if electric
shocks through the body in sleep. The patient feels a
sense of constriction in chest and heart.
Sol: It is a useful
remedy for side effects of radiotherapy in cancer
patients and it is useful for whom cannot tolerate the
sunrays, useful for sun burns.
Uncaria tomentosa :
Its acts by boosting the immune function of the body and
improves the energy and resistance power after exposure
to radiation and chemotherapy.
X-ray: It is an
excellent remedy for side effects after radiotherapy in
cancer and x-rays. It is also useful after immune
suppressors and chemotherapy. It stimulates the
metabolism of the body and produces a wellbeing both
mentally and physically.
Other remedies that are helpful in after effects of
radiation are Ars;
Cad-i; Calc-f; Chin; Fl-ac; Ip; Nux-v; Ph-ac; Phos;
Stront-c; and others.
