Report on Seminar 2010 with Dr. Dhiraj Nanda

organised ‘Seminar 2010 - A mystery but the essence’ one
day seminar with Dr. Dhiraj Nanda on 14/02/2010 at Bajaj
Hotel, Purna Road, Nanded. The seminar was attended by
more than 200 teachers, practitioners and students of
Homoeopathy.
The seminar started with office bearers of HMAI along
with Dr. Nanda garlanding the portrait of God Dhanwantri,
Dr. Hahnemann and lighting the lamp. This was followed
by with melodious saraswati vandana recited by members
of the profession. The inaugural session was short with
proper recognition of the dignitaries who were present
at the occasion.
After this, Dr. Nanda started interaction with the
delegates with regard to law of similars and theory of
miasms. After about 20-30 minutes of interaction, Dr.
Nanda started explaining the circumstances that lead Dr.
Hahneman to the theory of miasms. Then, he explained
miasms at the cellular level. After explaining miasms in
relation to patho-physiology, Dr. Nanda explained miasms
at the level of mind.
The tea was served in the seminar hall itself as the
delegates did not want a break. Explanation of miasms at
the level of mind was followed by the questions and
answers session where Dr. Nanda answered the questions
and clarified the doubts of the participants. This
session lasted well over a hour and was followed by
lunch.
Post lunch session was dedicated to ‘so-called
incurable-cases’. Dr. Nanda explained eight cases of
conditions that are considered incurable by other
schools of medicine. He showed how the understanding of
miasms leads to identification of proper miasmatic
rubrics and selecting the similimum. He presented cases
of Hyperlipedemia, Cancer of larynx, Adenocarcinoma of
stomach, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Lymphangioma, Renal
Cortical Cyst.
A case of allergic rhinitis in a three year old child,
treated by Dr. Nanda, was presented by Dr. Vishal
Deshpande where the first prescription that was not
based on miasmatic rubrics. This failed to provide
long-term relief. The second prescription analysed on
the basis of miasmatic rubrics provided complete relief
and cure to the child.
During the seminar, Dr. Nanda also released Indian
Edition of the book, “Organon of the Medical Art by Dr.
Sameul Hahnemann Edited and Annotated by Wenda Brewster
O’reilly”. The book has more than 407 printed pages and
is priced at Rs.175/-. Wenda Brewster O’reilly is based
in Paulo Alto, California.

The last session in the evening was again questions and
answers session where Dr. Nanda answered the questions
and clarified the doubts of the participants. This
session also lasted for about a hour. |
